Only the future is manageable. You cannot manage the past; it is over. You cannot manage the present; it does not exist. You can only manage the future. That poses a conundrum: managers must manage what hasn't happened yet.
To stand a reasonable chance of doing so effectively, they must be
futuristic leaders who envision where the organization needs to go.
Futuristic leaders literally "see" the future, "map" how to get there, and then lead their organizations to a successful tomorrow.
